Virginia Unger, Client Services Director
Virginia Unger enthusiastically fills a part-time position as Client Services Director for New Life Pregnancy Center. Ms. Unger works with the Client Advocates and the services they provide. Client Advocates are volunteers that individually assist each client that comes to the Center for help and resources. Virginia is a Client Advocate, as well.
Virginia has a background of nursing, administrative, and social skills that developed over many years in the workforce. In California, she was moved to visit a pregnancy center. Virginia never forgot the interview with the Director, encouraging her to train as a volunteer advisor. Her move to Georgia averted that possibility but in her new community, she became involved in a movement to bring awareness to those visiting the Planned Parenthood Center. She came to us after reading one of the announcements in her church bulletin last winter, and has been with us ever since. Her Taos years began in 2001 where she initially held administrative positions at inns as well as galleries. She also worked for the Town of Taos Library and as Office Manager in the Housing Department at the Taos Pueblo.
Virginia has raised two sons with her husband of 23 years, an officer in the Air Force. She has five grandchildren, enjoys needlecraft, reading and writing stories about the animals for children. Originally from New York City, she enjoys meeting people from all walks of life and attributes that to the opportunities she has had to come to appreciate different cultures throughout this great country of ours. As a Christian, her spiritual commitment is very much a part of her.
