About Us

About New Life Pregnancy Center

New Life Pregnancy Center was established in 2005 as a 501(c)3 non-profit, Christ-centered, life-affirming organization dedicated to assisting women, men and their families in the midst of an unplanned pregnancy. We opened our doors in May 2007 in Taos, NM. The Center was founded by a group of concerned citizens in the community who saw a need to provide information, guidance and support to women experiencing unplanned pregnancies. Today, we provide information as well as on-going encouragement and friendship during this challenging time. In addition, we assist women and men who find they are struggling after an abortion experience. Through our various programs, NLPC endeavors to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the women throughout the Enchanted Circle of northern New Mexico.

All of our Client Advocates are volunteers and receive 14+ hours of training and apprentice for several months with an experienced client advocate. We are non-judgmental and communicate compassion regardless of the decisions made by the client.

Mission Statement

As a Christ-centered, life-affirming ministry, New Life Pregnancy Center provides physical, emotional and spiritual support to those facing unplanned pregnancies. Our goal is to prepare clients to make healthy life decisions and to protect the lives of innocent unborn children in the Enchanted Circle of northern New Mexico.

The Need is Great

In January 2009 the Center for Disease Control reported the nation’s average teen birth rate in 2006 for 15-19 year olds is 41.9%. New Mexico is 64.1%, the second highest state in the nation. The New Mexico Commission on the Status of Women reported that Taos County ranks 15th in the state for teen births, showing a 9% increase from 1998 to 2006.

New Life Pregnancy Center was established out of a desire to help not only pregnant teenagers but any woman with an unplanned pregnancy and with limited access to all options available to her in northern New Mexico.

Statement of Faith

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, flawless, authoritative, living Word of God.
  • We believe that there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, His sinless life, in His miracles, in His shameful and yet atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
  • We believe that for the salvation of lost sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential, and that this salvation is received through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and not solely as a result of good works.
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is devoted to a life of service to God.
